By photographing familiar forms of candy interacting with the human body I intend to emphasize the visceral and sensuous quality of sugar. The candy has been marked by human presence in that each has been licked, sucked, chewed, etc. The relationship between desire and hunger is explored through the way that the candies fill, poke and pull human flesh. Fabricated of lollipop material, the rainbow of candy-coated and candy-filled condoms connect hunger and desire more explicitly and play with expected gender associations.
